Dr. Prusin is a 1960 graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry. He also has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois. He received his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kings County Hospital in New York and Boston University Medical School, Dept of Stomatology. He was a consultant Oral Surgeon for the US Army 1963 - 1965, NATO Forces & was the European MASH Unit Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He practiced in Boston till 1968.

He has practiced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Canada since 1968 and is on active staff at Rouge Valley Health Centre - Centenary site.

He has fellowships in: International College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada, American Dental Society of Anaesthesiology & Academy of Osseointegration.

He is a past president of the North Toronto Dental Society and the Ontario Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He currently practices in Scarborough and has previously had multiple Toronto area hospital and university appointments and offices in Downtown and North York.

He was a lecturer in Anaesthesia & Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Western Ontario and taught at the University of Toronto. He has particular interests in teaching and surgically placing dental implants; bone grafting and facial and jaw (TMJ) pain management.

SURGERY:

Most surgical procedures whether performed in office or hospital can be accomplished under general anaesthesia or sedation combined with local anaesthesia.

We operate with a surgical laser that contours gums and removes tissue. Extraction and surgery can range from simple to extensive procedures. We will discuss your individual treatment and anaesthesia with you prior to surgery.
